I can't believe it'south time again to brand autumn crafts with the kids! I'yard not ready for summer to finish notwithstanding, merely have to admit that I love to make crafts with fall leaves.

The fall leaves colors are cute and fall is my favorite time of year! Although, I am planning a version of this crumple tissue paper craft for spring leaves by just changing the tissue paper colors. The possibilities are endless…

Supplies Needed

  • This free autumn leaf template printable – or a pencil to outline your fall leaf pattern on regular paper
  • Tissue paper in fall colors* – yellow, gilt, orange, dark green, calorie-free greenish, low-cal brown, nighttime brown, reddish, cranberry and using metallics like gold, bronze, copper and silver tin exist pretty too!
  • White glue
  • (optional) Pigment brush to spread glue
  • Scissors or preschool safety scissors
  • (optional) Stick from the backyard to utilise to attach leaves – yous could also apply brown tissue paper or brown paint and a paint brush instead
  • Background canvas – this craft can be displayed on construction paper, card stock, poster lath, painted canvas or on the classroom bulletin board.

Step 1

Print out the leaf template printable and cut out the specific leafage shapes y'all desire to employ. If you want larger leaves, then enlarge them by 200% on your printer.

Or using a pencil and paper, outline fall leaf shapes using the pictures seen here every bit a guide.

Add a stick to your background and strategically suit the leaves around it. Alternatively, y'all could use rolled up brown tissue paper as the tree limb or pigment a brown tree limb on the background.

  • (optional) Stick from the lawn to use to attach leaves – you could besides utilise brownish tissue paper or brown paint and a paint castor instead
  • Groundwork canvas

Tools

  • (optional) Paint castor to spread gum
  • Scissors or preschool safety pair of scissors

Instructions

  1. Print out the leaf template or depict your own leaf shapes and cut them out.
  2. Cut tissue paper into squares.
  3. Crumple the tissue paper into balls.
  4. Glue a small area of your outset foliage cutting out.
  5. Push the balls gently into the glued surface.
  6. Continue until yous have all the leaf template covered.
  7. Add a tree branch shape using a stick, tissue newspaper shape or chocolate-brown paint on your groundwork.
